Chapter 2 - The Fake Heir
Lauren Price suddenly pushed her way in front of Grant to confront Natalie directly.
She placed both of her hands protectively over her flat stomach and glared up at the stairs.
Lauren screamed that the filthy sewer water could have seriously harmed her unborn baby.
A collective gasp echoed through the crowd of reporters and business executives.
The camera flashes intensified wildly as the scandalous pregnancy was publicly revealed.
Evelyn Holloway rushed forward and wrapped her arms protectively around her son's mistress.
Evelyn turned her furious gaze up toward Natalie and slapped her own thigh in pure anger.
She screamed that Natalie was a barren, jealous monster who was trying to murder her only future grandchild.
Grant puffed out his chest, looking proud and validated by the sudden sympathy of the crowd.
He loudly declared that he was finally leaving Natalie to build a real family with a real woman.
Natalie did not flinch, cry, or run away from the devastating public accusation.
She calmly reached into her black designer purse and pulled out a thick manila folder.
She unclasped the folder and let dozens of medical documents flutter down the stairs like snow.
The papers landed directly at the feet of the reporters standing in the front row.
A prominent business journalist picked up one of the official laboratory reports and read it aloud.
The crowd went completely silent as the shocking medical truth echoed across the entrance.
The documents were not Natalie's medical records at all.
They were Grant’s private fertility test results from a specialized clinic in Switzerland.
The expensive laboratory report clearly stated that Grant Holloway had been completely and irreversibly sterile since he was nineteen years old.
Lauren's face instantly drained of all color as she stared at the scattered papers.

Natalie looked down at the trembling mistress with a razor-sharp smile.
She politely asked Lauren exactly whose baby was currently floating around inside that silver dress.
