Chapter 3 - The Boardroom Massacre

The morning sun cast long shadows across the glass walls of the Holloway corporate headquarters.

Grant stormed into the executive boardroom with his tie loosened and his eyes bloodshot from a sleepless night.

He had dragged a crying Lauren out of the hotel while the paparazzi ruthlessly mocked his infertility.

He absolutely refused to let a jealous woman steal the eighty-five million dollar empire he had supposedly built.

Grant slammed his hands down on the massive oak table and demanded an emergency board vote.

He ordered his loyal chief financial officer to instantly initiate a hostile takeover protocol.

He arrogantly claimed that he held enough proxy votes from anonymous shareholders to legally remove Natalie from the company.

The CFO nervously adjusted his glasses and stared at the glowing laptop screen in front of him.

Grant yelled at the man to stop hesitating and push the transfer button immediately.

He needed to secure the offshore corporate funds before Natalie could freeze the accounts.

The CFO typed frantically on his keyboard, his hands shaking with visible terror.

The large presentation screen on the boardroom wall suddenly flickered to life.

Grant grinned victoriously, fully expecting to see the confirmation of his massive financial transfer.

Instead, the screen displayed a live, high-definition video feed from Grant's own private executive office.

Natalie was sitting comfortably behind Grant's massive mahogany desk.

She was casually sipping a cup of expensive espresso from his favorite mug.

She looked directly into the camera lens and thanked Grant for gathering the board members so quickly.

Grant screamed at the screen, demanding to know how she had bypassed his private security codes.

Natalie calmly explained that she did not need to bypass any security protocols.

She revealed that her father was the anonymous proxy holder Grant had been relying on all along.

With a single tap on her smartphone, she officially terminated Grant Holloway as the CEO of the company.

The CFO looked up at Grant with sheer panic in his eyes.

He quietly announced that the company bank accounts had just been entirely drained to a balance of zero.
