Chapter 6 - The Digital Heist

Grant raised his hands in absolute terror as the tactical laser sights danced across his chest.
He instantly assumed the armed men were federal agents sent by Natalie to arrest him.
The squad leader stepped out of the shadows, revealing a face completely hidden behind a black tactical mask.
The heavily armed man did not shout police commands or display any official law enforcement badges.
He roughly grabbed Grant by the hair and dragged him violently toward a black unmarked van.
Grant screamed for help, but the underground parking garage was completely deserted.
They threw him into the back of the van and aggressively zip-tied his wrists behind his back.
The squad leader ripped off his tactical mask, revealing the smug face of Grant's own CFO.
The executive smiled wickedly and wiped a bead of sweat from his forehead.
He thanked Grant for successfully distracting Lauren in the server room with the chemical foam.
The CFO explained that Lauren was planning to betray him too, so he had to secure the physical diamond codes himself.
He pulled a heavy, encrypted tablet from his tactical vest and shoved it directly into Grant's face.
He violently demanded the six-digit password to the underground vault located in Switzerland.
Grant spat blood onto the floor of the van and refused to speak a single word.
He knew that the moment he surrendered those codes, the mercenary team would immediately execute him.
The CFO sighed in absolute frustration and pulled a sharp combat knife from his belt.
He pressed the cold steel blade tightly against Grant's throat, drawing a thin line of red blood.
He promised to make Grant's final moments on earth incredibly slow and agonizing.
Before the executive could apply any more pressure, the unmarked van suddenly slammed to a violent halt.

The back doors of the vehicle were instantly ripped completely off their heavy metal hinges.
Natalie stood in the blinding sunlight of the garage exit, holding a massive sledgehammer resting casually over her shoulder.
