Chapter 7 - The Airport Intercept

Madison sipped a glass of expensive champagne in the first-class lounge.

She checked her reflection in her compact mirror, admiring her own flawless makeup.

She truly believed she had outsmarted her entire family.

She stood up and walked gracefully toward the international departure gate.

She handed her golden boarding pass and passport to the gate agent.

The agent scanned the document, and the computer system immediately flashed bright red.

A loud alarm blared at the desk, stopping all boarding procedures.

Madison rolled her eyes, arrogantly demanding to know what the delay was.

She told the agent she was an important influencer and needed to board immediately.

Four TSA agents rapidly surrounded her, instructing her to step away from the counter.

A tall man in a dark suit walked up and flashed a federal badge.

He informed Madison that her passport was officially flagged as an international flight risk.

She shrieked in protest, claiming it was a massive mistake.

The federal agent stepped aside, allowing someone else to walk out from behind the security desk.

It was me.

I wore a tailored designer suit, looking down at my sister with absolute, icy calm.

Madison gaped at me like I was a ghost.

I stepped close to her ear and whispered the truth about her escape plan.

I told her that the jewels she stole from the floor safe were completely fake.

I had swapped them out three weeks ago before I left the house.

I revealed that the pawn shop she sold them to was a front for the syndicate.

The cartel knew exactly who she was, and they were waiting for her outside the airport.

Madison's knees buckled as the TSA agents placed her under federal arrest for attempting to flee justice.
