Chapter 3 - The Influencer's Downfall

Back at the house, chaos erupted the moment Richard dropped his phone.

Madison ran to the front window, her eyes widening in pure terror.

Four black SUVs were actively blocking their driveway.

Madison grabbed her phone, instinctively trying to go live on social media to broadcast her victimhood.

She wanted her thousands of followers to feel sorry for her.

She tapped the screen, but her phone suddenly went completely black.

The cellular service was permanently disconnected because it was in my name.

She screamed in frustration, throwing the useless device onto the luxury leather sofa.

Outside, men in dark suits stepped out of the vehicles.

They were not wearing police uniforms.

They carried heavy crowbars and walked with terrifying, silent purpose.

A tow truck backed up to Madison's pristine luxury car.

She ran out the front door, shrieking at the driver to step away from her property.

The driver ignored her and hooked chains to the front axle of her vehicle.

One of the men in suits handed Catherine a legal repossession order.

Catherine tried to pull out her shiny platinum credit card to pay them off right there.

The man pulled a mobile card reader from his pocket and swiped it.

The machine beeped loudly, flashing a bright red message that the card was reported stolen.

Catherine gasped, her perfect facade crumbling into absolute panic.

Richard stepped onto the porch, puffing out his chest to intimidate the repo men.

The largest man in the group walked right past Richard and kicked the front door wide open.

The man smiled, revealing a row of gold teeth.

He told Richard that the bank sent the tow truck, but the syndicate sent him.

He pulled a silenced pistol from his jacket and aimed it at Richard's chest.
