Chapter 7 - The True Mastermind

Don Salvatore glares down at Leandro with a look of absolute disgust.
“My foolish daughter actually wanted to leave you in the hands of the police,” Salvatore sneers.
Salvatore’s heavily armed men drag Leandro out of the crashed federal transport van.
The federal agents are entirely unconscious in the front seats, confirming Salvatore completely orchestrated the ambush.
“I prefer to handle family business the old-fashioned way,” Salvatore says, pressing a gun to Leandro’s head.
Leandro refuses to show even a single ounce of fear to his bitter enemy.
“You are making a massive mistake, Salvatore, because my loyal men will hunt you forever,” Leandro bluffs.
Before Salvatore can pull the trigger, his own personal cell phone begins to ring loudly.
Salvatore answers it, his arrogant expression quickly morphing into sheer confusion.
“What do you mean the offshore accounts have been completely drained?” Salvatore yells into the phone.
A sleek black car silently pulls up to the chaotic crash site.
Maribel steps out of the luxury vehicle, wearing an immaculate white suit.
“I transferred the money, Father, because you are officially obsolete,” Maribel announces coldly.
Salvatore stares at his own daughter in complete and utter disbelief.
“You betrayed your own flesh and blood for a seat at the table?” Salvatore asks in horror.
“You taught me to be ruthless, Father, so consider this your final lesson,” Maribel replies.
She raises a silenced pistol and shoots her own father squarely in the chest without a second thought.
