Chapter 6 - The Setup

“Nobody move a single muscle!” a harsh voice commands from behind the blinding lights.
Dozens of heavily armed federal agents step out of the shadows, aiming their rifles at Leandro.
Leandro immediately raises his hands, shielding Estelle and Daphne behind his broad back.
“We are the victims here, my home was just bombed by the Salvatore family,” Leandro tries to explain.
A tall, sharp-featured federal captain steps forward with a pair of steel handcuffs.
“That is a very interesting story, considering the explosives were purchased strictly under your name,” the captain says coldly.
Leandro instantly realizes the true depth of Maribel’s incredibly wicked plan.
She did not just want to kill him; she wanted to frame him for domestic terrorism.
The agents roughly grab Leandro, forcing him onto his knees in the wet grass.
Daphne tries to intervene, but an agent aggressively shoves her back.
“Take the women to the hospital, but put a heavy guard on their door,” the captain orders.
Leandro locks eyes with Daphne as he is dragged violently toward the armored police vehicle.
“Keep my mother safe, Daphne, I will find a way out of this!” Leandro promises loudly.
The doors of the transport van slam shut, plunging Leandro into total darkness.
He tests the strength of his handcuffs, his mind already formulating a desperate escape plan.
The van suddenly swerves violently, its tires screeching against the wet asphalt.
A massive impact throws Leandro aggressively against the metal wall of the transport.
