Chapter 8 - THE BOARDROOM COUP

Alexander couldn't hide forever. The USB drive was safe, but to stop Victor, he had to cut the head off the snake.
Leaving Rosa and Mia at the cabin with the only two bodyguards he trusted with his life, Alexander drove back into the city. He walked into the glass-walled boardroom of Sterling Industries just as Victor was proposing a motion to have Alexander declared "missing and unfit" to take control of the company.
"I wouldn't sign that just yet," Alexander’s voice boomed.
The board members gasped. Alexander stood in the doorway, his arm in a sling, looking like an avenging angel.
Victor’s face went pale. "Alexander. We... we thought you were dead."
"You hoped I was dead," Alexander corrected, walking to the head of the table. He slammed his laptop down and plugged in the USB drive. Instantly, the massive projectors in the room displayed Victor's offshore bank accounts, the bribes from the steel suppliers, and the hit orders placed on David Santos.

The room erupted in chaos. "I have already sent this to the FBI, the SEC, and the New York Times," Alexander said coldly.
Victor backed away toward the door. "You think you've won?" he sneered. "Check your phone, Alex."
