Chapter 4 - THE MOLE
They had the evidence. Now, Alexander needed to execute a plan to trap Victor without tipping him off. He spent the night at his massive oak desk, encrypting the files and sending them to his private servers, while Rosa slept in the guest suite with Mia.
But Alexander made a fatal mistake. He used his secure line to call his head of legal, demanding an emergency board meeting for the next morning.
What Alexander didn't know was that Victor Vance had spent the last two years buying off key players in Sterling Industries—including the head of legal. By 3:00 AM, Victor’s phone rang.

"Alexander is calling an emergency vote, Victor," the lawyer whispered. "And his security detail logged two unknown guests at the penthouse tonight. A woman and a little girl."
In his own mansion across town, Victor threw his whiskey glass against the wall, shattering it. "Rosa Santos is alive," he hissed. He picked up his burner phone and dialed his head of private security. "Get a tactical team to the penthouse. I don't care how much it costs. Burn it to the ground. Leave no witnesses."
