Chapter 10 - JUSTICE AND A NEW BEGINNING (ENDING)
Alexander didn't initiate a stock transfer. He initiated a remote override.
When Alexander had left the cabin, he hadn't just left guards. He had secretly activated the cabin's elite defense system—a military-grade feature his paranoid grandfather had installed. He typed the final command into his tablet.
On the video feed, steel shutters suddenly slammed down over the cabin windows. The room plunged into darkness, followed immediately by the blinding strobe of tactical flashbangs deployed from the ceiling vents. The mercenary screamed, dropping his weapon. Within seconds, Alexander’s backup black-ops team, stationed in the woods just for this contingency, breached the cabin and neutralized the blinded threat.
In the boardroom, Victor watched his leverage vanish. The wail of police sirens echoed from the city streets below.
"It's over, Victor," Alexander said.
The FBI stormed the boardroom, slapping handcuffs on the corrupt COO.
One Year Later.
The Harrington manor was hosting another event, but this time, nobody was hiding under the tables.
It was Alexander and Rosa’s wedding. The ballroom was filled with light, laughter, and genuine joy. Rosa looked breathtaking in a simple, elegant white gown, walking down the stairs not as a terrified waitress, but as a woman deeply loved and finally safe.
Alexander stood at the bottom of the stairs, tears in his eyes.
But before he took his bride's hand, he looked down. Standing next to him was Mia, wearing a beautiful pink dress that fit perfectly. She still held Barnaby the bear, though Alexander had hired a master toy restorer to give him a brand-new ear.
The music swelled. Alexander knelt down in his custom tuxedo and offered his hand to his new daughter.
"May I have this dance?" he asked softly.

Mia smiled, her dark eyes shining with absolute happiness. She placed her small hand in his. "Yes, Daddy."
They stepped onto the dance floor together, the whole world finally watching.
