Chapter 3 - The PR Nightmare

By Monday morning, the Kensington family went into full panic mode. They hired the most expensive PR firm in Charleston. Their strategy? Spin the narrative.

They released a statement claiming I was a mentally unstable, controlling mother who had deliberately provoked Chloe. They claimed I staged the entire event to ruin my son's happiness because no woman would ever be "good enough" for my precious boy.

They even paid a few trashy gossip blogs to write articles with headlines like: BILLIONAIRE MOTHER-IN-LAW FROM HELL TERRORIZES BRIDE.

Julian was furious. He paced my penthouse office, his fists clenched. "Mom, let me destroy them. Let me pull Vance Global's investments from Richard Kensington's firm. I'll bankrupt him by noon."

"Sit down, Julian," I said, calmly sipping my Earl Grey tea, dressed in a sharp Tom Ford suit. "You are thinking with your anger. That is how the Kensingtons think. We are going to let them dig their own grave. When they are at the absolute bottom of the hole, we will simply hand them the shovel."

"But they are dragging your name through the mud!"

"Let them," I smiled, pulling out my smartphone. "Because they forgot one very important detail. I didn't just record the audio. I recorded the video."

I didn't send the video to a news outlet. I didn't send it to a PR firm. I simply uploaded it to a brand-new, anonymous TikTok and Facebook account. I titled it: "Rich Bride Shows Her True Colors to Homeless Woman."
