Chapter 7 - The Sky Battle
Damon pulled himself through the shattered window, his face covered in freezing wind and blood.
He had miraculously managed to grab the landing skid just as the helicopter lifted off the roof.
Alina gasped in pure relief, dropping the heavy rifle and rushing to help him inside the cabin.
Damon collapsed onto the metal floor, gasping for air in the thin, freezing atmosphere.
He looked up at Alina with a fierce, possessive gaze that made her heart skip a beat.
Before they could embrace, Viktor suddenly groaned and pushed himself up from the floor.
Viktor pulled a hidden combat knife from his boot and lunged wildly at Damon's exposed neck.
Alina screamed and threw herself forward, completely shielding Damon with her own body.
Damon roared in absolute fury, catching Viktor's wrist just inches from Alina's fragile back.
The two massive men engaged in a brutal, bloody struggle in the confined space of the aircraft.
The helicopter violently pitched side to side as their combined weight shifted unpredictably.
Leo fought desperately with the controls, screaming that they were losing altitude too fast.
Damon twisted Viktor's arm until the bone snapped with a loud, sickening crack.
Viktor dropped the knife and desperately tried to reach for the open cabin door.
Damon grabbed him by the throat, hoisting him up with terrifying, adrenaline-fueled strength.
"This is exactly what happens when you touch what belongs to me," Damon growled.
He shoved Viktor backward, sending the treacherous underboss plummeting out of the open door into the black void.
Alina threw her arms around Damon, sobbing uncontrollably into his ruined, blood-soaked shirt.
Damon held her incredibly tight, burying his face in her soft, dark hair.
Suddenly, a loud, blaring alarm began screaming from the helicopter's control panel.
Leo turned around, his face completely pale as he pointed to the shattered control gauges.

Viktor's stray bullet from the struggle had completely severed the main hydraulic line.
The helicopter was entirely out of control and falling rapidly toward the frozen lake below.
