Chapter 10 - The Christmas Miracle

Three months later, the spring sun shone brightly through the massive windows of the Whitfield estate.
The scandal had completely rocked the corporate world, but Daniel had successfully cleared his name.
Robert had survived his gunshot wounds only to be sentenced to life in federal prison alongside Diana.
Daniel had restructured the entire company, dedicating a massive charity foundation in the name of Marcus Bennett.
Daniel walked into the grand ballroom, which was no longer filled with snobby elites.
Instead, the room was covered in colorful toys, drawing paper, and a massive indoor fort built from expensive couch cushions.
Grace stepped out of the kitchen, wearing a beautiful floral dress, her hair flowing freely down her back.
Daniel walked over and pulled her into a deep, passionate kiss that still made his heart race.
"You are going to spoil her," Grace laughed, looking at the massive fortress.
"She deserves the entire world," Daniel smiled, wrapping his arms around Grace's waist.
Maya ran out of the cushion fort, holding the battered teddy bear tightly in her arms.
Daniel picked the little girl up and kissed her forehead, knowing he finally had the family he had always wanted.
Their lives were peaceful, completely safe, and overflowing with genuine love.
That afternoon, a private courier arrived at the front gate requiring a signature for a heavily sealed package.
Daniel opened the wooden box on his desk to find a brand-new, perfectly stitched teddy bear with a blue star on its foot.

Beneath the bear was a handwritten note in handwriting Daniel recognized instantly.
The note read: "Thank you for protecting them, Daniel, but it is time for me to take my family back."
