Chapter 10 - The New Empire

Absolute panic erupted as Orion yelled fiercely for everyone to evacuate the massive steel mill immediately.

His loyalists scrambled frantically toward the exits, forcefully dragging the surrendered mercenaries with them.

Ren grabbed Meadow's hand tightly, and Caesar barked loudly, herding them toward the safest door.

Orion looked down at his deeply unconscious brother lying on the cold steel catwalk.

Despite the entirely unforgivable betrayal, Orion absolutely refused to let Silas die like a cowardly rat.

He hoisted Silas heavily over his shoulder, his injured arm screaming in absolute, fiery agony.

They all sprinted desperately across the massive factory floor as the terrifying timer ticked down.

Exactly ten seconds remained as they burst through the heavy front doors into the cool night air.

They dove completely behind the armored transport trucks just as the timer hit absolute zero.

A deafening, massive explosion ripped the steel mill entirely apart from the inside out.

A blazing shockwave of fire and heavy debris shattered the dark night sky into a million pieces.

Orion perfectly shielded Ren and Meadow with his own body until the violent rain of metal stopped.

They stood up very slowly, watching the dark symbol of the old empire burn completely to the ground.

Silas was handed over entirely to the loyalists to face true, unforgiving mafia justice.

Aldrich reclaimed his health fully and his honorable position as the elder advisor of the powerful family.

Orion officially took total control of the empire, fiercely vowing to clean up the corruption entirely.

Ren and Meadow were finally and beautifully reunited, completely safe from the dangerous shadows of their past.

A few weeks later, Orion and Ren stood peacefully together on the balcony of his secure estate.

He kissed her softly, entirely knowing they had built a beautiful future out of total chaos.

The core conflict was completely resolved, and they were finally and perfectly happy together.

The next bright morning, Ren found a small, unmarked wooden box sitting on the front porch.

She carefully opened it and found a bloody silver necklace that had belonged to her late mother.
