Chapter 6 - The Broken Truth

The blinding spotlight washed out the entire warehouse in a harsh, unforgiving white glare.

Arthur shielded his eyes, instantly calculating the odds of surviving a close-quarters gunfight without cover.

A voice echoed from the public address system above, smooth, arrogant, and painfully familiar.

It was Elias, the Sterling family crisis manager who was supposed to be Arthur's protector.

Elias stepped out of the shadows on the upper catwalk, looking down at Arthur with deep disappointment.

He casually admitted that he had betrayed the Sterling family and sold his loyalty to Uncle Silas.

Elias ordered the mercenaries to lower their weapons, wanting to handle the young heir personally.

Julian scrambled over to Chloe, frantically untying the thick ropes that bound her bruised wrists.

Chloe coughed, clinging to Julian, but her eyes remained locked on Arthur with a strange intensity.

Elias walked down the metal stairs, mocking Arthur for trying to live like a normal, pathetic civilian.

He revealed that the hacker who broke into the school servers wasn't trying to expose Arthur.

The hacker was actually trying to lock Arthur out of his own biometric failsafes before the coup began.

Arthur slowly stood up, letting his titanium knife drop to the concrete floor with a loud clatter.

He looked directly at Elias and laughed, a cold, dark sound that echoed through the massive warehouse.

Arthur confessed that he had never trusted Elias from the very first day he was assigned to him.

He explained that the financial documents in the envelope were completely fabricated.

They contained a highly aggressive digital virus designed to trigger the moment they were scanned into Silas's servers.

Elias's smug smile faltered for a fraction of a second as he grabbed his secure satellite phone.

The screen flashed bright red, displaying a critical system failure across the entire Silas network.

Arthur hadn't come to the docks just to save Julian's girlfriend from execution.

He had come to use their own communication hub to infect the rebel faction's entire banking system.

Elias roared in absolute fury, pulling a silver pistol from his designer jacket and aiming at Arthur.

Before Elias could pull the trigger, Chloe snatched a dropped rifle from the floor and aimed it at him.
