Chapter 9 - The Eleventh Hour.

The entire courtroom erupted into absolute, unhinged chaos as the federal marshals dragged Marcus toward the exit.

The judge pounded his heavy wooden gavel repeatedly, his face turning bright red with intense fury.

Arthur leaned back in his luxurious leather chair, a wicked, triumphant grin spreading across his face.

He had clearly anticipated their desperate plan and used his immense political connections to eliminate Marcus.

Clara watched her only ally being pulled out the doors, taking the encrypted hard drive away with him.

The judge demanded absolute order and ordered the jury to begin their final deliberations immediately.

Clara knew this was her absolute last chance to survive, and she refused to go down in silence.

She screamed out over the noise, demanding to enter a final, crucial piece of evidence onto the official court record.

The judge firmly denied her request, stating coldly that the evidentiary period was officially and permanently closed.

He raised his gavel high into the air, fully prepared to dismiss the jury and end Clara's life.

Suddenly, a loud, sharp whistle echoed from the back of the massive courtroom, cutting through the overwhelming noise.

Everyone turned around to see a figure standing confidently in the open doorway.

It was David, the former company CEO whom Clara was currently accused of murdering.

He was very much alive, looking completely healthy, and holding Marcus's dropped encrypted hard drive high in his hand.

Arthur's perfectly constructed mask of arrogant composure instantly shattered into a million jagged pieces.

He stumbled backward, knocking his heavy mahogany chair over in a state of sheer, unfiltered terror.

David walked straight down the aisle, completely ignoring the stunned marshals and the bewildered judge.

He calmly plugged the hard drive directly into the courtroom's central projection system.
