Elara sprinted frantically back toward the massive stone mansion, pushing the heavy stroller as fast as her legs could move.
She burst through the heavy oak double doors just as Daniel was running down the grand spiral staircase.
He looked completely pale and terrified, clutching a thick stack of hidden financial documents he had just found in Julian's room.

He yelled to the approaching officers that Julian was the real criminal and the mastermind behind the corporate theft.
The heavily armed police officers ignored Daniel completely and drew their weapons, aiming them directly at Elara.
Julian smiled darkly and whispered that he owned the local police chief, and this was his ultimate checkmate.
Elara did not panic, but instead pulled a small, modified USB drive from her battered backpack.
She shoved the device into the master control panel of the mansion's smart security system on the wall.
Her fingers flew across the digital keypad in a blur of mathematical precision.
