Chapter 3 - The Midnight Breach

The shockwave threw Dominic backward over his heavy oak desk.

Shards of bulletproof glass rained down onto the Persian rug like deadly diamonds.

Enzo rolled across the floor, instantly drawing his weapon and aiming it at the ruined window.

"Perimeter breach!" Enzo yelled into his radio over the ringing in their ears.

Dominic scrambled to his feet, ignoring the blood dripping from a cut on his cheek.

He did not care about the heavily armed men currently scaling the walls of his estate.

He only cared about the woman and the little girl trapped in the servant's quarters.

"Hold this room!" Dominic commanded, grabbing a shotgun from a hidden compartment under his desk.

Dominic sprinted out of the study and down the grand hallway, moving with terrifying speed.

The power to the mansion was suddenly cut, plunging the entire estate into absolute darkness.

Red emergency lights flickered to life, casting long, bloody shadows across the marble floors.

Automatic gunfire erupted from the front gates as Dominic’s men engaged the Russian kill squad.

Dominic kicked open the heavy door to the servant's wing, racking the slide of his shotgun.

He found Clara standing in the hallway, holding Lily tightly against her chest.

Two men dressed in black tactical gear were advancing toward her from the opposite end of the hall.

"Get down!" Dominic roared.

Clara dropped to the floor, shielding her daughter with her own body.

Dominic fired twice, the deafening blasts illuminating the dark corridor like lightning.

Both assassins collapsed backward, their armor completely shredded by the heavy slugs.

Dominic rushed forward, grabbing Clara by the arm and pulling her up.

"You are coming with me," Dominic ordered, pushing them toward the secret panic room beneath the stairs.

Suddenly, a third assassin dropped from a ventilation shaft directly above them.

The man swung a heavy combat knife, slicing deeply into Dominic's shoulder.
