Chapter 8 - The Biological Truth

A heavy, ringing silence immediately descended upon the restricted hospital wing.

"What do you mean she is incompatible?" Richard demanded, his dangerous temper instantly flaring back to life.

"She is his sibling, the genetic match should be incredibly high, especially with my superior bloodline," the billionaire argued arrogantly.

Dr. Evans bravely held his ground, holding up the printed medical results for everyone in the corridor to see.

"The HLA markers are not just a poor match, they are completely divergent on a fundamental biological level," the doctor explained.

He turned toward my mother, his professional expression hardening into a look of absolute, undeniable judgment.

"According to these irrefutable genetic markers, Clara and Daniel do not share a single matching parent."

The entire corridor seemed to violently tilt on its axis as the doctor's incredible words finally registered in my brain.

My father slowly stood up from the plastic chair, his face turning an alarming shade of deep, suffocating purple.

He stared furiously at my mother, his hands clenching into tight, violently shaking fists at his sides.

"You told me she was mine when you brought her home from the hospital," my father screamed, completely losing his mind.

My mother backed tightly against the sterile wall, her eyes darting frantically around the room like a trapped rat.

"She is yours, Arthur, the medical test has to be a mistake," she lied desperately, her voice cracking with pure panic.

"It is not a mistake, Mrs. Pierce," Dr. Evans countered firmly, tapping the irrefutable genetic data on his tablet.

Richard Pierce began to laugh, a deep, booming sound of dark amusement echoing through the absolute chaos of the ward.

"You truly are a spectacular piece of work, manipulating two different men into raising children that do not belong to them," Richard mocked.

I stood completely frozen in place, realizing that my entire life had been constructed upon a foundation of massive, unimaginable lies.

Not only had they deliberately let my beautiful daughter die, but they were not even my actual biological family.

I was completely free from their toxic, poisonous bloodline, legally and genetically severed from their monstrous legacy.

Daniel began to furiously pound his fists against the glass of the isolation room again, screaming silently in pure terror.

He had just watched his final, guaranteed lifeline vanish completely, realizing he was going to face the brutal consequences of his actions.

My mother frantically lunged toward me, trying to aggressively snatch my leather bag containing the signed asset transfer contracts.

"Give those papers back to me right now, the deal is entirely void if you cannot donate," she shrieked hysterically.

I easily stepped back, letting her violently crash onto the cold, hard tiles of the hospital floor.

"The contract explicitly stated you were transferring assets in exchange for my legal consent to test, which I provided," I stated calmly.

"You signed away everything you own for a perfectly legal blood test that proved you are a chronic, pathological liar."

Richard Pierce suddenly grabbed my mother by the collar of her ruined blouse, hoisting her roughly into the air.

"You lied to me about the viability of the medical match, which means you essentially stole my time and resources," he snarled.

My mother sobbed hysterically as Richard's heavily armed guards stepped forward, forming a terrifying wall around her and my father.

Suddenly, the secure hospital phone at the nurses' station began to ring with a piercing, urgent alarm.

Dr. Evans sprinted to the desk to answer the flashing line, his face dropping in absolute shock as he listened to the caller.

"Yes, we can prep the patient immediately, send the courier right now," Dr. Evans said breathlessly before slamming the receiver down.

He turned toward the chaotic group, his eyes wide with absolute, unimaginable disbelief.

"A completely anonymous perfect match just registered on the national database, and the donor is already flying in," the doctor announced.
