Chapter 2 - The Blackout

The millions of viewers watching Tyler's live stream were suddenly staring at a completely dead connection.
Tyler did not care about his massive internet clout anymore.
He dropped his completely useless phone onto the cold tarmac, raising both of his trembling hands high in the air.
The strange thing rising from the titanium box was absolutely not human.
It looked exactly like a massive, liquid-metal server core, pulsing aggressively with a blinding crimson light.
The ten-year-old boy, Leo, did not even flinch as the mechanical entity hummed incredibly loudly.
A tall man wearing a perfectly tailored black suit slowly descended the private jet's stairs.
This was Marcus Vance, a highly feared shadow billionaire who controlled global markets from the absolute dark.
Marcus stared at Tyler with dark eyes completely devoid of any human empathy.
He softly ordered his heavily armed mercenaries to drag the foolish influencer directly into the plane.
Tyler fought desperately, screaming loudly for help, but the highly trained men easily overpowered his weak frame.
They threw him violently onto the luxurious leather floor of the aircraft cabin.
The liquid-metal core was carefully loaded into the back of the cabin by highly specialized robotic drones.
Marcus sat comfortably in a velvet chair, pouring himself a quiet glass of expensive vintage bourbon.
He calmly explained that Tyler had just broadcasted a highly classified artificial intelligence weapon to the entire world.
Because of Tyler's incredibly stupid vanity, every rival syndicate and foreign government now knew exactly where the weapon was located.
Tyler begged desperately for his life, promising to quickly delete all his accounts and disappear forever.
Marcus sighed heavily, slowly pulling a silenced silver pistol from his tailored jacket pocket.
He aimed the deadly weapon directly at Tyler's head, entirely ready to pull the trigger and end the problem.
Suddenly, the private jet's advanced radar system began blaring a deafening, high-pitched warning alarm.
Marcus looked quickly at the cockpit monitor, his calm demeanor instantly shattering into pure panic.

"Sir," the pilot screamed over the loud intercom system.
"Three military attack helicopters have just locked their missiles onto our engines."
