Chapter 8 - The Price of Greed

The violent explosion completely blew the heavy reinforced bedroom door entirely off its titanium hinges.
A cloud of thick gray smoke and splintered wood violently filled the master bedroom.
Arthur Vance strode confidently through the smoke wearing a tactical gas mask over his face.
He was closely followed by a heavily armed team of ruthless private mercenaries.
Vance had completely ignored the flammable gas warning because he knew the blueprints of my home.
He laughed mockingly and removed his gas mask to look me directly in the eyes.
Vance proudly announced that he was here to collect the bearer bonds hidden inside my wall safe.
He did not care about Preston, Harper, or Eleanor anymore.
He ordered his mercenaries to execute every single person in the room so he could leave no witnesses.
A chaotic struggle erupted instantly as Tony aggressively opened fire with the stolen shotgun.
Tony brilliantly utilized the thick smoke as cover to engage the tactical team in brutal hand-to-hand combat.
I dove desperately across the room to secure the glass vial that Harper had dropped during the explosion.
Preston tackled me to the ground and tried to blindly gouge my eyes out with his thumbs.
I fought back ferociously against the ungrateful son who wanted to murder me.
Eleanor suddenly managed to break free from her wooden chair and grabbed the fallen hunting knife.
She violently plunged the sharp blade directly into Preston's leg to save her own miserable life.
Preston screamed in absolute agony and completely released his grip on my neck.

I successfully grabbed the tiny glass vial from the carpet and clutched it tightly in my fist.
I rolled over and found Arthur Vance aiming a heavy pistol directly at the center of my forehead.
