Chapter 5 - The Surgical Trap

Marcus drove his car entirely recklessly through the heavy storm to reach the isolated, abandoned lake house at the edge of the dark county. I carefully checked the loaded magazine of the heavy handgun, ensuring I was fully prepared to end this absolute nightmare permanently. The massive, decaying wooden cabin loomed deeply in the distance, partially illuminated by the frequent flashes of bright lightning. I strictly ordered Marcus to stay quietly in the car and keep the engine running perfectly in case we needed to make an emergency escape. I crept silently through the tall, wet grass and completely bypassed the broken security cameras heavily mounted on the front porch. I aggressively kicked the heavy wooden back door completely off its rusty iron hinges and stormed forcefully into the dark hallway. The horrific scene inside the massive living room made my blood run entirely cold and my exhausted hands shake violently. The dusty, abandoned room had been completely transformed into a sterile, highly illegal surgical operating theater. Megan was strapped tightly to a cold metal table, crying hysterically as heavy leather belts completely restricted her fragile movement. A tall man wearing a bloody surgical mask and a filthy white doctor's coat was carefully preparing a massive tray of sharp medical instruments. Martha stood proudly by the window, sipping a glass of expensive red wine while casually watching the terrifying procedure formally begin. I proudly raised my heavy handgun and aimed it squarely at the back of the corrupt doctor's sweating head. I loudly commanded him to drop the sharp surgical scalpel instantly or I would completely paint the wall with his brains. The doctor froze completely in absolute terror, slowly raising his trembling hands high into the freezing air. Martha turned around slowly, showing absolutely zero fear despite the deadly weapon aimed directly at her illegal hired help. She simply smiled a wicked, heartless smile and pressed a small, hidden button on a digital remote control she was holding. A heavy steel cage suddenly dropped violently from the ceiling, completely separating me from the surgical table and my crying wife. I shot desperately at the thick metal bars, but the heavy bullets simply ricocheted harmlessly away into the dark wooden walls. Martha laughed a cold, incredibly heartless laugh and cheerfully instructed the terrified doctor to cut the baby out immediately. Before the doctor could even pick up the sharp scalpel again, Megan let out a sudden, ear-piercing scream of absolute, blinding agony.
