Chapter 10 - The True Family

I did not scream, nor did I waste time trying to reason with the monsters in the room.

I simply stepped aside and held the hospital door open as wide as it could go.

Four armed police officers marched into the recovery room, led directly by my lawyer, Marcus.

Teresa dropped the pen in sheer terror as the officers immediately surrounded her and my sisters.

“Teresa, Brittany, and Kayla, you are all under arrest for identity theft, extortion, and filing a false police report,” the lead officer declared.

Brittany began to cry hysterically, begging me to tell the police it was all a big misunderstanding.

I walked past them without a single glance and gently took Emily's fragile hand in mine.

The officers placed heavy steel handcuffs on all three women and aggressively dragged them out of the hospital room.

Teresa screamed curses at me, swearing that she would destroy my life when she got out of prison.

I closed the door, shutting out her toxic voice forever, and finally kissed my beautiful wife.

An hour later, the nurses wheeled a small, clear incubator into our quiet room.

I looked down at my tiny, perfect son, feeling an overwhelming surge of protective love wash over me.

We were finally free from the financial abuse and the emotional manipulation of my blood relatives.

We had our own true family now, built on a foundation of fierce loyalty and unconditional love.

The nightmare was officially over, and our beautiful new life was just beginning.

A few days later, a specialized genetic doctor walked into our room holding the baby's routine bloodwork results.

He looked incredibly confused as he compared the infant's rare blood type to my own medical chart.

“The baby's blood type proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that you are the biological father,” the doctor explained carefully.

“However, the genetic markers also prove something entirely impossible regarding your own maternal lineage.”

The doctor lowered the clipboard and looked me dead in the eye.

“According to this DNA sequence, Teresa cannot possibly be your biological mother.”
