Chapter 6 - The True Executor

I stood completely frozen as the massive security guards aggressively pinned Judge Vance against the cold concrete wall.
My heart hammered against my ribs, and the freezing numbness in my mechanical hand was slowly starting to burn.
"You are making a massive legal mistake, I am the chief judge of this entire competition!" Vance shouted angrily at the guards.
My father laughed deeply and confidently showed the guards a fake restraining order with a highly forged judge's signature.
"He is a dangerous, delusional stalker who has been violently harassing my innocent family for months," my father lied incredibly convincingly.
The guards tightened their aggressive grip on Vance, fully believing the elaborate, twisted lies my family had meticulously crafted.
Ryan adjusted his expensive silk bowtie and gave me a cruel, entirely victorious wink.
"Do not worry, sis, I will make sure to play a beautiful song for you while you sit securely in a padded cell," Ryan mocked softly.
He turned around and began walking proudly toward the heavy velvet curtains leading to the main stage.
If he walked out there and played under my official registration number, the Sterling trust would legally belong to him forever.
I desperately tried to run after him, but my mother grabbed my left arm with her razor-sharp, painted fingernails.
"You are coming to the locked psychiatric ward with us right now, you ungrateful little brat," she hissed poisonously into my ear.
I screamed loudly for help, but the backstage crew was completely confused and paralyzed by the chaotic family dispute.
Just as my father pulled a pair of heavy plastic zip-ties from his pocket to bind my wrists, a familiar voice cut through the noise.
"Let go of my legally adopted daughter this instant," Mrs. Ross demanded fiercely from the shadows.
My beloved piano teacher stepped boldly out of the prop room, holding a massive stack of federal court documents.
She was not just my sweet, elderly piano teacher who patiently listened to my struggles after school.
"I am the primary legal executor of the Julian Sterling estate," Mrs. Ross announced with absolute, undeniable authority.
She handed the terrified security guards an emergency emancipation order that had been signed by a federal judge exactly one hour ago.
"Arrest these three imposters immediately for grand fraud and the attempted murder of a legal heir," Mrs. Ross ordered the guards.

My mother gasped loudly and released my arm as armed police officers finally burst through the backstage doors.
But Ryan had already slipped completely past the curtains, and the announcer was currently calling my name to the stage.
