The troopers poured into the ballroom, immediately arresting the local police captain and Marcus's loyal guards.
Marcus was dragged out of the ballroom by his feet, bleeding and groaning in defeat.
Patricia and Karla tried to quietly sneak out the back service doors to escape the purge.
Ethan spotted them and called out their names over the microphone, freezing them in terror.
He publicly fired them both, ensuring they would never work in the hospitality industry ever again.
He then turned his attention to the board members who had blindly supported Marcus's illegal takeover.
Ethan calmly informed them that their shares were officially frozen pending a massive federal investigation.
The corporate titans who had scoffed at his ragged clothes were now weeping and begging for their jobs.
Ethan ignored their pathetic pleas and stepped off the stage, walking straight toward the security room.
The heavy steel door swung open, and little Lily ran down the hallway as fast as her legs could carry her.
She leaped into her father's arms, crying tears of joy as he spun her around in the air.
Ethan held her incredibly tight, burying his face in her hair, breathing in the scent of her sweet shampoo.
The nightmare was finally over, and his little girl was perfectly safe.
