Chapter 5 - The Safe House

Marcus did not waste a single, precious second staring at the deadly helicopter.
He violently grabbed Clara by the arm and forcefully dragged her toward the heavy rooftop access doors.
Bullets aggressively shredded the concrete surface right where they had been standing just a moment prior.
They burst into the dark stairwell, sprinting recklessly down the metal steps as fast as their legs could move.
"We have an armored extraction vehicle waiting three blocks away in a parking garage," Marcus yelled over the echoing chaos.
Clara clutched the vital folder tightly, absolutely determined to survive for the sake of her innocent son.
They successfully slipped out the back alleyway and aggressively sprinted through the pouring rain.
They reached the hidden armored SUV just as police sirens began wailing loudly in the distance.
Marcus threw the heavy vehicle into gear and sped aggressively through the chaotic city streets.
After an hour of tense, completely silent driving, they arrived at a secluded cabin deep in the dense mountain woods.
Julian was nervously pacing the wooden porch, completely soaked in the freezing rain.
The billionaire rushed forward the exact second Clara stepped out of the heavy vehicle.
"I am so incredibly sorry for completely failing you, Clara," Julian choked out, tears mixing with the rain on his face.
Clara stepped back, her eyes burning with unresolved anger and deep, agonizing betrayal.
"You let that absolute monster raise my child for five long years," she replied coldly.
Julian frantically shook his head and begged her to listen to the complicated truth.
He explained that he had fallen into a deep coma after a suspicious car accident the very same day Noah was born.
When he finally woke up months later, Vivi had entirely fabricated Clara's tragic death and perfectly forged the adoption papers.
"I never stopped loving you, Clara, not for a single second," Julian confessed, his voice breaking with raw emotion.
Clara looked deep into his desperate eyes and finally saw the genuine, heartbroken man she had fallen in love with.
She slowly reached out and gently took his trembling hand, ready to finally fight this war together.
Suddenly, the heavy wooden doors of the cabin violently burst completely open.

Vivi stepped confidently onto the porch, flanked by heavily armed cartel enforcers.
She was holding a terrified, crying Noah tightly against her side with a loaded gun pointed directly at the child's head.
