Chapter 6 - The Dark Breach

The completely pitch-black bunker was instantly filled entirely with the terrifying sounds of highly chaotic movement.
Noah could hear Harold's guards shouting urgent tactical orders, but their advanced night-vision goggles were completely fried.
Heavy metal air grates violently crashed directly to the floor as heavily armed, unknown attackers dropped freely from the ceiling vents.
Muffled gunshots and highly brutal hand-to-hand combat immediately erupted violently in the suffocating darkness.
Harold firmly grabbed Noah's shaking arm and pulled him completely silently behind the massive, utterly useless computer mainframes.
"We strictly have to reach the manual emergency exit located at the complete back of the facility," Harold whispered urgently.
Noah tried desperately to orient himself, but the absolute lack of visible light made his head spin dizzily.
Suddenly, a painfully bright tactical flashlight sharply clicked on, aggressively slicing entirely through the heavy darkness.
A towering, massively built mercenary wearing heavy body armor stood just a few terrifying feet away from their hiding spot.
The massive attacker slowly and methodically scanned the room, holding a highly lethal combat shotgun tightly in his hands.
Noah instantly remembered the extensive air conditioning vents he used to navigate when delivering food to large office buildings.
He quietly reached entirely down and carefully picked up a heavy, shattered piece of a completely broken computer monitor.
With all his remaining might, Noah hurled the incredibly sharp debris entirely across the massive room.
It smashed incredibly loudly against a glass medical cabinet, instantly drawing the towering mercenary's deadly attention.
While the heavily armed attacker was entirely distracted, Harold and Noah crawled frantically toward the emergency access tunnel.
They successfully reached the highly heavy steel hatch just as the emergency backup generator finally sputtered weakly to life.
Dim red warning lights rapidly flickered on, horrifyingly illuminating the brutal carnage completely scattered across the bunker.
The towering mercenary spun entirely around and immediately spotted them aggressively pulling the heavy manual access lever.
He rapidly raised his heavy shotgun and fired a massive blast that entirely shattered the concrete wall directly beside Noah's head.
Harold violently shoved Noah entirely into the narrow escape tunnel and quickly locked the heavy hatch completely behind them.
They scrambled rapidly up the steep concrete stairs, desperately hoping the long tunnel led completely safely to the surface.
When they finally reached the complete top, they aggressively pushed open a rusty door and stumbled into an entirely abandoned warehouse.
But they were absolutely not entirely alone in the dusty, heavily echoing room.
The mysterious leader of the highly lethal mercenary strike team was casually waiting for them, completely blocking the only exit.
The entirely confident leader slowly reached up and removed his heavy tactical mask with a highly sinister smile.

Noah felt his tired knees entirely buckle as he stared absolutely at the horribly familiar face of the killer.
It was his Uncle Marcus, his father's supposedly deeply grieving, highly devastated older brother.
