Chapter 5 - The Plunge

The terrifying sight of the rocket launcher paralyzed Dora with absolute fear.
Victor aggressively yanked Dora downward, forcing her head firmly between her knees.
"Hold on tightly!" Leo roared from the driver's seat as he slammed the brakes.
The armored SUV violently spun out of control, tires screaming across the wet pavement.
A blinding flash of orange light illuminated the dark street.
The rocket blasted past their rear bumper, obliterating a parked sedan just a few feet away.
The shockwave shattered all the reinforced windows in their SUV instantly.
Glass rained down over Dora's back, but Victor's heavy body shielded her from the worst of the shrapnel.
Leo expertly regained control of the spinning vehicle, accelerating wildly toward the industrial harbor district.
The three pursuing trucks aggressively rammed their bumpers, trying to run the SUV off the road.
Victor leaned entirely out of the shattered back window, firing his handgun with lethal precision.
One of the enemy drivers caught a bullet in the shoulder, sending his truck crashing violently into a brick storefront.
"We are running out of road, boss!" Leo warned frantically.
The massive steel gates of the Boston Harbor loading docks loomed directly ahead of them.
Leo smashed straight through the metal gates, tearing the front bumper completely off the SUV.
They sped desperately along the concrete pier, surrounded entirely by freezing, dark ocean water.
The two remaining enemy trucks flanked them perfectly, violently pinning the SUV from both sides.
Sparks flew brilliantly into the night air as metal aggressively ground against metal.
"They are trying to push us into the water!" Dora screamed in sheer panic.
Victor emptied his final magazine into the enemy truck on their right, killing the driver instantly.
But the truck on their left slammed heavily into their side doors with devastating force.
The armored SUV careened violently over the concrete edge of the massive pier.
For one terrifying second, they were entirely airborne in the cold night sky.
Then the heavy vehicle slammed brutally into the freezing, murky water of the harbor.
The impact deployed the airbags violently, knocking the breath entirely out of Dora's lungs.
Freezing water aggressively poured into the sinking cabin through the shattered windows.
Dora unbuckled her seatbelt frantically, gasping for her final breath of air as the water swallowed them whole.
She looked over to the front seat to see Leo already swimming out of his broken window.
She turned frantically toward Victor in the dark, sinking vehicle.

Victor was slumped completely motionless against the leather seat, a massive gash bleeding heavily on his forehead.
He was totally unconscious, and the heavy SUV was sinking rapidly into the black abyss.
