Chapter 8 - The Grand Reveal

Down in the ballroom, the whispers had begun to ripple through the crowd. Elias Vance had arrived, flanked by his own security, looking like a conqueror ready to claim his spoils. He marched to the front of the stage just as Oliver finished his speech.

"Ladies and gentlemen," Elias shouted, seizing a microphone from a stunned attendant. "I apologize for the interruption, but as the new majority shareholder of the Obsidian Estate Group, I think it's time we talk about new management!"

The crowd gasped. Reporters raised their cameras, flashbulbs exploding. Oliver simply stood at the podium, unbothered, checking his watch.

Victoria burst through the side doors, rushing to Elias's side. "Elias, wait!" she hissed, trying to grab his arm. "Something went wrong upstairs! The drive—"

"Quiet, Victoria, I'm claiming my throne," Elias dismissed her, basking in the shock of the room. He pointed at Oliver. "Your empire is finished, boy. Pack your bags."

"I don't think he'll be doing that, Elias," a voice echoed through the massive sound system.

The crowd parted as Sebastian walked down the grand staircase. He had shed the chef's coat entirely. He wore a perfectly tailored midnight-blue tuxedo, the Obsidian family crest gleaming on his lapel. He moved with a predatory grace that commanded absolute silence in the room.

Elias frowned, looking at the man. "Who the hell are you? The catering manager?"

"Oh, Elias," Sebastian smiled, a terrifying, carnivorous thing. "You spent months plotting to steal my company, and you didn't even know whose pockets you were picking."

Sebastian stopped at the base of the stairs. "Allow me to introduce myself properly. I am Sebastian Obsidian. Founder, Chairman, and sole owner of the Obsidian Estate Group. Oliver is my brother, yes, but he is merely the public face. The CEO. You targeted the wrong man."

Victoria gasped, taking a stumbling step backward. Her eyes wide with absolute, unadulterated horror.
