Chapter 4 - The Seduction

The following evening, the trap was set. Sebastian intentionally told Victoria he was pulling a double shift in the kitchen to prepare for the upcoming Obsidian Annual Gala. He left the penthouse entirely, retreating to the camera room on the 80th floor to watch the feed.
Oliver was left alone in the penthouse, instructed by Sebastian to play the bait.
At 9:00 PM, Victoria knocked on the door of Oliver’s private study. She walked in wearing a silk slip dress that left very little to the imagination, carrying two glasses of rare bourbon.
"Sebastian is working so late again," Victoria sighed, setting a glass on Oliver’s desk and leaning over, ensuring he caught the scent of her perfume. "It must be so exhausting, carrying the weight of this entire empire on your shoulders, Oliver. You need someone who truly understands your world."
On the monitors, Sebastian watched his brother shift uncomfortably. Oliver was a brilliant businessman, but he wasn't a spy.
"I manage fine, Victoria," Oliver said, keeping his eyes on his screen.
"Do you?" She walked around the desk, her fingers tracing the edge of his laptop. "Sebastian is sweet, but he lacks ambition. He’s perfectly content with his little cakes and pastries. But you... you are a king, Oliver. Don't you ever wish you had a queen who could match your intellect?"
She leaned in, her lips inches from his ear. As she did, her hand subtly reached toward his laptop keyboard, a tiny silver flash drive gripped between her fingers.
"Actually, Victoria," Oliver said, slamming the laptop shut just in time, "I have an early meeting. You should get some rest."

Victoria’s jaw tightened, a flash of pure venom crossing her face before she masked it with a pout. "Goodnight, Oliver."
As she walked out, Sebastian spoke into Oliver’s earpiece. "Perfectly handled, little brother. She's desperate now. She'll make her final move at the Gala."
