Chapter 9 - Into the Viper's Nest
The cartel boss grabbed Rosa violently by her hair.
He coldly thanked Marina for being such a useful business partner.
Rosa realized with absolute horror that Marina had been working with the cartel all along.
The armed men roughly threw Rosa and Sophia into the back of a black van.
The vehicle sped recklessly away into the pitch-black night.
Rosa hugged Sophia tightly against her chest, silently preparing for death.
They eventually arrived at a massive, deserted warehouse down by the shipping docks.
Her ex-husband dragged them into the center of the empty concrete floor.
He drew a large knife and promised to make Dante suffer by mailing him their pieces.
He raised the weapon high above his head, aiming directly for Rosa's heart.
The warehouse doors suddenly exploded inward in a shower of steel and sparks.
