Rosa desperately yanked her arm away from his crushing grip.
She pulled the gray cotton sleeve violently down to her wrist.
She lied and told him it was just a stupid mistake from her teenage years.
Dante stared at her for a very long time.
The brief warmth in his eyes had completely vanished.
He told her that people with that specific mistake usually ended up dead in his city.
Rosa forced herself to look away and picked up Sophia.
She promised him that the ink meant absolutely nothing.
Dante coldly instructed his head of security to escort them to the dining room.
A towering man with a heavily scarred jaw stepped out of the shadows.
Rosa felt her knees go entirely weak.
The security guard was a man named Victor.
He smiled at Rosa with a chilling familiarity.
