Chapter 7 - The Airport Intercept

The black SUV tore through the city streets at terrifying speeds, ignoring every red light and stop sign.

Grace sat in the backseat between Liam and Julian, gripping her seatbelt as Caleb aggressively drove the vehicle.

Her mind was spinning with the brutal reality of Ethan's ultimate betrayal.

He had actually intended for the mother of his child to spend the rest of her life rotting in a federal prison.

They reached the perimeter fence of the private Hawthorne airstrip just as the rain began to fall again.

Caleb did not even bother slowing down for the security gate.

He accelerated the heavy armored SUV, smashing directly through the chain-link fence in a shower of sparks and torn metal.

They sped onto the dark runway, aiming the vehicle straight toward a sleek white private jet preparing for takeoff.

The jet's engines were already screaming, taxiing slowly toward the runway threshold.

Caleb drifted the massive SUV directly in front of the plane's nose gear, forcing the pilot to slam on the emergency brakes.

The brothers kicked their doors open and sprinted up the mobile boarding stairs before the crew could retract them.

Grace followed closely behind Liam, her heart hammering furiously against her ribs.

They burst into the luxurious cabin of the private jet.

Ethan and Lauren were sitting in the plush leather seats, surrounded by metal briefcases overflowing with stolen cash.

Lauren screamed in sheer panic, completely forgetting her broken wrist.

Liam crossed the cabin in two massive strides and grabbed Ethan by the throat, slamming him violently against the fuselage.

"You really thought you could frame a Sterling and just fly away?" Liam roared, his eyes filled with lethal fury.

Julian pulled a legal document and a pen from his jacket, slamming them onto the folding table.

"Sign the full confession, Ethan, and I might convince my brothers to let you live," Julian demanded.

Ethan coughed up blood from Liam's crushing grip, but a sick, twisted smile slowly spread across his bruised face.

"The confession means absolutely nothing now, Julian," Ethan laughed hysterically.

"That stolen money doesn't belong to investors, it belongs to the Sinaloa cartel, and they track their own cash."
