Chapter 5 - The Broadcast

Mia backed away slowly from the table as Victoria and Marcus closed in completely around her.
Marcus had entirely betrayed her, trading the valuable USB drive directly to Victoria for a massive cash payout.
"Julian is completely useless to me now, but I still absolutely need that baby," Victoria sneered confidently.
She pulled a small, highly dangerous stun gun from her designer purse, the electrical current crackling loudly.
Mia knew she could not physically fight both of them in her delicate, heavily pregnant condition.
She reached completely blindly into her deep coat pocket and pressed a specialized panic button on her phone.
She had spent the entire morning programming the phone to instantly broadcast to a live corporate feed.
The hidden camera in her coat was now actively streaming directly to the board of directors of Julian's company.
"You are going to completely rot in a federal prison for the rest of your miserable life, Victoria," Mia stated loudly.
Victoria simply laughed, completely unaware that her entire confession was being actively broadcast to fifty powerful executives.
"I pushed you down those stairs, and I will happily cut that child out of you tonight," the wicked woman confessed proudly.
Suddenly, Marcus's expensive cell phone began to ring loudly and completely incessantly on the metal table.
He answered the aggressive call, and his arrogant face turned entirely ashen white in a matter of seconds.
"The entire corporate board is actively watching us on a live video feed right now!" Marcus yelled in absolute panic.
Victoria froze completely, the dangerous stun gun dropping entirely uselessly to her side.
Mia did not waste a single, precious second waiting for them to fully process their massive mistake.
She grabbed the heavy bottle of scotch and smashed it violently directly across Marcus's face.
The ruthless rival collapsed heavily to the concrete floor, completely knocked out cold by the impact.
Mia aggressively shoved past a completely stunned Victoria and sprinted wildly toward the hangar exit.
She managed to slip through the side door and entirely disappeared into the dark, foggy night.
She safely reached a nearby bus terminal, totally confident that her recorded broadcast had finally ruined her enemies.
She completely expected to see breaking news of Julian and Victoria's massive arrests flashing on the terminal televisions.

Instead, her own terrified face was prominently displayed across every single major news channel.
The loud news anchor announced that Mia had completely lost her mind and brutally murdered Doctor Evans.
