Chapter 9 - The Arrest

Federal agents poured out of the tactical vehicles, their weapons aimed squarely at Silas Thorne.
The corrupt billionaire tried to stand, but an agent immediately forced him to his knees and applied heavy steel handcuffs.
“You have absolutely no right to arrest me!” Thorne screamed furiously as they dragged him away.
“I am untouchable in this city!”
The lead FBI director walked forward, holding a thick stack of printed financial records.
“Julian sent us your encrypted ledgers an hour ago, Silas,” the director stated calmly.
“You are going to federal prison for the rest of your miserable life.”
Shiomara ignored the arrest entirely and pressed her hands desperately against Leo’s bleeding shoulder.
Mateo ran over, crying tears of relief as he hugged his grandmother tightly.
“He needs an ambulance right now!” Shiomara yelled as Leo’s face grew extremely pale.
Maya knelt beside her brother, her hands shaking as she tried to stop the bleeding.
“I am fine, Maya,” Leo whispered with a weak, pained smile.
“I promised I would protect my family, and that includes her.”
Paramedics arrived on the scene within minutes and loaded Leo onto a stretcher.
The emergency lights illuminated the docks as they rushed him to the nearest trauma center.
Shiomara rode in the back of the ambulance, refusing to let go of Leo’s hand for even a second.
The nightmare that had consumed their lives over a single piece of paper was finally coming to an end.
For the next three weeks, the city was completely captivated by the fall of Silas Thorne.
His corporate empire was dismantled, and his corrupt police officers were all imprisoned.
Leo made a full recovery, his shoulder healing perfectly thanks to the best surgeons in the country.
The triplets officially finalized the transfer of the Sterling Tower directly into Shiomara’s name.
She did not want a skyscraper, but the triplets insisted she use it to change the world.
Shiomara stood in the lobby of the massive building, looking at the pristine marble floors.
She smiled as construction workers carried in ovens, tables, and massive industrial stoves.
She was transforming the bottom three floors of the billionaire’s tower into the largest free community kitchen in the country.
Mateo proudly wore a chef’s apron, ready to help his grandmother feed anyone who was hungry.
The triplets stood beside her, looking at the incredible legacy they had helped build.

“You fed us when we had nothing, Shiomara,” Julian said softly.
“And now, you are going to feed the entire city.”
