The story broke on Monday morning, and it exploded on social media like gasoline on a dry forest.
A local investigative journalist got ahold of the court filings. The headline read: BRIDE BANISHES BURN-VICTIM SISTER AT WEDDING; PARENTS STOLE $8M IN MEDICAL FUNDS.
The public backlash was biblical.
People on Facebook and TikTok were tearing my family apart. Chloe’s Instagram, filled with pictures of her lavish lifestyle and perfect aesthetics, was flooded with tens of thousands of angry comments calling her a monster.
She tried to fight back. Chloe posted a tearful video, wearing no makeup, claiming I was a bitter, jealous sister trying to ruin her life because Liam had chosen her.
It backfired spectacularly.

An hour after Chloe posted her video, Liam released a statement of his own. He detailed exactly why he walked away from the altar, confirming Chloe’s cruel whisper. He ended the post with: “Evelyn is a hero. Chloe is a fraud.”
