He told me to pack my things because he and Brooke were moving into the house this weekend.
I kept my face perfectly neutral, silently accepting the papers without a single tear.
Gavin laughed, mocking my weakness before turning around to leave.
In his arrogant haste, his heavy leather briefcase bumped against the doorframe and popped open.
