Chapter 9 - The Final Flight

The armored FBI vehicles violently smashed through the chain-link fence of the private airstrip.

The sleek white jet was already taxiing down the dark runway at a high rate of speed.

Our vehicles swerved aggressively across the tarmac to completely block the path of the massive plane.

The jet engines whined down in a deafening roar as the panicked pilot was forced to slam on the brakes.

Heavily armed tactical agents stormed the aircraft aircraft with their weapons drawn and lasers engaged.

They dragged a screaming, furious Diane out of the cabin and threw her onto the cold concrete.

She was immediately placed in heavy steel handcuffs and aggressively read her Miranda rights.

Ethan ran onto the plane and emerged seconds later holding a beautifully safe and crying Noah.

He placed the perfect baby securely into my waiting, trembling arms.

I cried tears of absolute, pure joy as I kissed my son's soft little face over and over again.

The horrific nightmare was finally over, and our family was completely safe.

Diane stared at me with pure hatred as the police shoved her into the back of a transport van.

I looked at the woman who gave birth to me and felt absolutely nothing but pity.

She had traded her entire family for money, and now she would spend the rest of her life in a concrete cell.
