Chapter 5 - The Bloody Kitchen

Charlotte and Julian were completely surrounded by heavily armed, deeply corrupt kitchen staff.
The sharp steel blades gleamed dangerously under the bright fluorescent lights of the industrial kitchen.
Julian did not waste a single precious second trying to negotiate with the ruthless chef again.
He grabbed a massive pot of boiling hot soup from the nearest stove and violently threw it directly at the attackers.
The cooks screamed in sheer agony as the scalding liquid splashed across their aprons, forcing them to drop their weapons.
Charlotte used the brief moment of complete chaos to dive across the slippery tile floor toward the dishwasher.
She snatched the gold-rimmed crystal flute perfectly into her hands and held it tightly against her chest.
"I got the glass, Julian, we need to leave right now!" she yelled over the deafening screams of the kitchen staff.
Julian forcefully punched the massive head chef squarely in the jaw, knocking him completely unconscious onto the floor.
They aggressively bolted through the back delivery exit, sprinting desperately down the dark, narrow service alleyway.
Charlotte dialed the emergency medical team on Julian's phone and demanded they meet her at the hospital with a toxicology unit.
They successfully reached Julian's armored black limousine perfectly parked quietly on the adjacent street.
The driver aggressively sped through the heavy city traffic, entirely ignoring every red light to reach the emergency room.
Charlotte handed the poisoned glass directly to the waiting toxicology team the absolute second they arrived.
Within ten agonizing minutes, the doctors successfully identified the rare poison and completely administered the life-saving antidote to Sebastian.
Charlotte sat completely exhausted in the hospital waiting room, silently praying for her grandfather to open his eyes.
Julian sat beside her, gently placing his warm coat perfectly over her trembling, freezing shoulders.
"You completely saved his life tonight, Charlotte, and you proved you are far stronger than Margaret," Julian said softly.
Charlotte looked up at him, finally realizing that the ruthless rival CEO actually had a genuinely good heart.
Before she could thank him, the hospital doors violently burst completely open with a deafening crash.
Margaret marched aggressively into the waiting room, entirely flanked by four highly armed private security contractors.
"Arrest this insane woman immediately, she is the one who violently poisoned my father!" Margaret shrieked at her guards.
The armed men aggressively raised their heavy weapons and pointed them directly at Charlotte and Julian.
"You cannot possibly pin this on me, Margaret, the police are actively testing the glass right now," Charlotte fired back confidently.
Margaret simply smiled a deeply wicked, completely confident smile that made Charlotte's blood run entirely cold.
"Oh, I highly doubt the police will find anything useful at all," Margaret laughed cruelly.
She stepped aside to completely reveal the lead toxicology doctor walking out of the laboratory with a grim expression.
The doctor walked straight up to Margaret and respectfully handed her a completely clean, totally washed crystal glass.
"The evidence has been completely destroyed, Madam, just as you requested," the corrupt doctor stated firmly.

Charlotte stared in absolute horror as Margaret pulled a suppressed pistol from her expensive purse and aimed it directly at Julian.
"Now hand over the yellow envelope, Julian, or you completely die right here," the wicked aunt commanded fiercely.
