Chapter 9 - The Boardroom Coup
Victoria, feeling invincible, emerged from hiding. She strutted into the towering Vance Holdings headquarters in Manhattan, flanked by a dozen lawyers and security guards. She was heading straight to the emergency board meeting to solidify her position and authorize the arrest of the "fraudulent" boy.
She kicked the double doors of the boardroom open. The fifty board members sat in stunned silence.
"Ladies and gentlemen," Victoria announced, slamming a falsified medical document onto the mahogany table. "The DNA results are in. The boy is a fraud. Now, I want a motion to immediately liquidate the offshore assets and—"
"You're in my chair."
Victoria froze.
At the head of the massive table sat eleven-year-old Julian Vance. He was no longer covered in mud. He was wearing a perfectly tailored, dark navy suit. The silver pocket watch rested on the table in front of him. Standing behind him were Elias Caldwell, Marcus, and two agents wearing windbreakers with the letters FBI printed in bold yellow.
"How did you get in here?!" Victoria shrieked, looking at her security guards, who immediately backed away at the sight of the federal agents.
Caldwell pressed a button on a remote. The massive screens lining the boardroom wall flickered to life. It wasn't a stock ticker. It was the security footage of the lab director swapping the vials, complete with the crystal-clear audio of Victoria giving the order to fake the results.

The board members erupted into outraged shouts.
"Victoria Vance," the lead FBI agent stepped forward, pulling a pair of steel handcuffs from his belt. "You are under arrest for corporate fraud, bribery, embezzlement, and the attempted murder of a minor."
