Chapter 7 - The Corrupt Cop

I slowly and carefully raised my entirely empty hands high in the air, surrendering completely to the heavily armed, highly corrupt detective.

Detective Miller forcefully and aggressively disarmed me, tossing my highly sharpened hunting knife completely off the high catwalk.

It clattered incredibly loudly onto the hard concrete floor below, instantly alerting absolutely everyone to my hidden presence.

"Your abusive husband honestly pays exceptionally well, Mrs. Mercer," Miller said with a highly disgusting, incredibly arrogant grin.

He forcefully shoved me hard toward the metal staircase, aggressively marching me straight down to the dirty factory floor.

Daniel stepped highly confidently out from the dark shadows, proudly wearing a medical sling on his violently broken right arm.

He heavily held a sleek, incredibly dangerous black pistol firmly in his left hand, pointing it directly at my tied-up father.

"I specifically told you that you would deeply regret humiliating me," Daniel sneered, his dark eyes heavily filled with sheer madness.

"Let my injured father go entirely free, Daniel," I pleaded desperately, trying to keep my shaking voice entirely steady and calm.

"This incredibly violent, highly personal fight is strictly and completely between you and me."

Daniel laughed very coldly, stepping dangerously and highly aggressively close to my father's deeply bloodied face.

"He expertly trained you to be a highly skilled fighter, so he absolutely gets to watch you violently die," Daniel replied coldly.

I quickly assessed the terrifying situation, accurately calculating the exact physical distance between absolutely everyone in the room.

Miller was standing exactly three feet directly to my left, holding his loaded service weapon incredibly carelessly by his side.

Daniel was standing exactly fifteen feet away, entirely focused deeply on gloating highly arrogantly over his total victory.

There were two highly muscular, heavily armed thugs standing closely by the main doors, heavily blocking our only physical exit.

I deeply remembered my father's single most highly important lesson about surviving a highly dangerous, totally lethal hostage situation.

You must immediately create absolute, highly distracting chaos exactly when your arrogant enemy feels the most completely confident.

I suddenly and violently faked a very loud, highly aggressive coughing fit, completely doubling over as if I were struggling to breathe.

Miller simply rolled his eyes highly arrogantly and casually stepped highly close to aggressively grab my shoulder.

I instantly spun completely around and violently drove my open palm highly aggressively up into Miller's unprotected jaw.

His head violently snapped completely back with a incredibly loud, sickening crack, and he instantly dropped his gun in pure shock.
