Julian froze, the gun trembling in his hand. "That... that's a lie. My father would never..."

"He had an affair with my mother, the CEO, while he was her accountant," Eleanor revealed, her voice dripping with venom. "When she threatened to fire him and expose the embezzlement, he killed her. He killed his own flesh and blood to steal this empire."

Eleanor turned to the keyboard and pressed her hand against the biometric scanner.

The screen flashed. DNA ACCEPTED. MATCH IDENTIFIED.

"Now," Eleanor said, looking back at Julian. "All I need is your eye."

Julian lunged at her. Eleanor was ready. She grabbed a heavy fire extinguisher from the wall and swung it with all her might, catching Julian in the ribs. He gasped, dropping the gun. Eleanor didn't hesitate. She drove her knee into his stomach, grabbed him by his perfectly styled hair, and slammed his face onto the retinal scanner.

The laser swept over his wide, terrified eye.

RETINA ACCEPTED. VAULT UNLOCKED.

Eleanor shoved Julian to the floor. She hit a single key. Billions of dollars in offshore, untraceable funds were instantly routed into an encrypted decentralized trust under her name.

The Hawthorne empire was completely bankrupt.

Silas burst into the room, bruised and bleeding, dragging the unconscious body of the last mercenary. He looked at the screen, then at Eleanor.

"It's done," Eleanor said, pulling the flash drive. "Now, we let the world know."
