Chapter 10 - The Dawn of the Queen

Six Months Later

The sun rose over the coastal cliffs, painting the Atlantic in brilliant shades of gold and amber. I stood on the grand balcony of the Kaelen Estate penthouse, sipping black coffee.

The physical scars had faded into pale white lines—one across my forehead, a deeper one on my shoulder. Badges of honor. Reminders of the night I crawled out of a snowy grave to claim my birthright.

The business world had been turned upside down. Arthur and the shadow board were currently undergoing the most publicized federal trial of the century, facing multiple life sentences without the possibility of parole. Kaelen Holdings, purged of its corrupt elements, had surged in market value. The public loved a comeback story, and the 'Warrior Heiress' narrative had driven our stock through the roof.

The door to the balcony opened, and Vance stepped out. He was now the official Director of Global Operations.

"Morning, Boss," Vance said, handing me a leather portfolio. "The acquisition of the Riviera properties is finalized. The new board is clean, completely vetted. And the charity gala for the children's hospital is sold out for tonight."

"Good work, Vance," I smiled, signing the final document without hesitation.

"You look well, Victoria," he added softly.

"I feel well," I replied.

I reached into the pocket of my tailored white blazer and pulled out the silver pocket watch. It had been cleaned and polished, the dried blood of that terrible night washed away. I flicked it open. The clock ticked steadily, keeping perfect time. Inside the cover, a small engraved inscription read: For Victoria. Build a kingdom of light.

For five years, I had lived in the dark, haunted by grief and surrounded by vipers. But I had survived the crash. I had survived the betrayal. I had survived the storm.

I snapped the watch shut, slipping it back into my pocket, and looked out over the sprawling, gleaming estate that bore my family's name. It was no longer a monument to my father’s tragic end. It was the absolute, undeniable proof of my beginning.

I walked back into the penthouse to begin my day. The Kaelen empire was finally in the right hands. And God help anyone who ever tried to take it from me again.
