Six months later.
The sun shone brightly over the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean. On the deck of a massive, sleek superyacht anchored off the coast of Monaco, two women sat under a white canopy, sipping vintage champagne.
Julian Vance was currently sitting in a federal penitentiary, facing three consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole. His assets had been seized, his shipping empire dismantled, and his name erased from the halls of high society.
Isabel had reclaimed her company. She had rebuilt her fleet and cleared her name. She wore a breezy linen dress, looking vibrant and entirely free.
Genevieve sat across from her, wearing massive designer sunglasses and a relaxed smile. Her annulment had been finalized in record time due to the criminal fraud, and Isabel had kept her promise. She had bought the debt of Genevieve’s family estate, stabilizing their empire and making Genevieve the sole CEO of a newly reformed real estate conglomerate.
"They're calling us the Black Widows of Wall Street in the press," Genevieve mused, swirling the champagne in her crystal flute.
"Let them call us whatever they want," Isabel smiled, looking out at the endless blue horizon. "They’re terrified of us. And they should be."
"To outsmarting the devil," Genevieve said, raising her glass.
"To taking his crown," Isabel corrected, clinking her glass against Genevieve’s.
