Chapter 4 - The Traitor Within

Grace froze as Victor stepped into the panic room, followed by two masked mercenaries.
Titan let out a vicious snarl, the hair on his massive back standing straight up.
"Call the dog off, or I shoot him first," Victor threatened, aiming his rifle at Titan's head.
"Titan, stay," Grace commanded, her voice trembling but firm.
The dog obeyed, but his dark eyes remained locked on the traitorous security chief.
"Drop the gun, Luca, and hand over the microfilm," Victor ordered.
Luca slowly lowered his weapon and placed it on the steel table.
He did not look afraid; he looked absolutely furious.
"You are a dead man, Victor," Luca stated with chilling certainty.
"Maybe," Victor smirked, snatching the microfilm and the silver key from the table.
"But I will be a very rich dead man."
Victor turned to the mercenaries.
"Lock them in here and rig the door with C4."
"When the oxygen runs out, detonate the explosives."
Victor turned to leave, but he made a fatal mistake.
He took a step too close to Grace.
Titan did not wait for a command.
The massive mastiff launched himself forward with the force of a freight train.
He clamped his powerful jaws around Victor's wrist, snapping the bone instantly.
Victor screamed in agony, dropping the rifle and the stolen items to the floor.
Luca moved with terrifying speed, tackling the first mercenary and driving his fist into the man's throat.
Grace dove to the floor, snatching the microfilm and the silver key from the concrete.
The second mercenary aimed his gun at Grace.
Before he could fire, Luca spun around and used the first mercenary's dropped weapon to shoot the attacker twice in the chest.
The room fell deadly silent, save for Victor's pathetic groaning.
Titan stood proudly over the traitor, his jaws still locked dangerously close to the man's throat.
Luca turned to Grace, breathing heavily, his dark eyes burning with adrenaline.
"We need to leave this house right now," Luca commanded.
He grabbed a tactical bag from the wall and shoved the remaining weapons inside.
"There is an old smuggling tunnel behind that weapon rack."
Grace called Titan to her side, and they rushed toward the hidden escape route.
Just as they stepped into the dark tunnel, Luca’s cell phone vibrated violently in his pocket.
He looked at the screen and his face went completely pale.
"It's a video call from Don Rossi," Luca whispered.
He accepted the call, and a cruel, scarred face appeared on the screen.
"Hello, Luca," Don Rossi smiled wickedly.
"I see you found the escape tunnel, but I wouldn't go too far."
Rossi turned the camera around, revealing a dark, damp basement room.
Tied to a wooden chair in the center of the room was a gray-haired man covered in bruises.
May you like
Grace gasped, dropping the silver key onto the dirt floor.
It was her father.
