Chapter 4 - The Poisoned Water

Elias did not waste a single, precious second pretending he was completely fooled by the corrupt detective.
He violently threw the cup of poisoned water directly into Detective Stone's incredibly shocked face.
The toxic chemical burned the detective's eyes instantly, causing him to scream in sheer, unadulterated agony.
Elias aggressively shoved the heavy metal interrogation table completely backward, pinning the blinded man against the wall.
He frantically grabbed the detective's heavy security keycard and bolted entirely out of the dark room.
He sprinted recklessly through the chaotic, crowded police precinct, skillfully dodging confused officers.
He violently smashed the heavy glass of the front entrance door and escaped directly into the freezing rain.
Meanwhile, back at the private hospital, Richard casually walked into Clara's heavily guarded medical suite.
He forcefully slammed a thick stack of complicated legal documents directly onto her rolling hospital tray.
He calmly demanded that she sign over the absolute full rights to her family's hidden estate immediately.
Clara aggressively refused, staring entirely defiantly into the cold eyes of the man who tried to murder her.
Richard simply laughed a cruel, deeply soulless laugh and pulled a silver pen from his tailored jacket.
He whispered that her brave younger brother was already completely dead at the hands of the local police.
Clara completely broke down into heavy, uncontrollable tears, feeling absolutely utterly defeated and entirely broken.
She slowly picked up the silver pen and signed her legal name on every single dotted line.
Richard smiled victoriously, snatching the highly valuable legal documents away from her trembling hands.
He coldly stated that she had officially served her ultimate purpose and was no longer required to be alive.
Richard casually pressed a hidden red button completely concealed underneath his expensive diamond wristwatch.
He walked proudly out of the room, locking the heavy steel medical door securely from the outside.

Clara suddenly heard a terrifying, loud hissing sound coming directly from the ceiling ventilation shafts.
Thick, highly toxic white gas began violently pumping entirely into her locked, inescapable hospital room.
