Chapter 4 - The Conveyor Belt The little girl held her breath, pressing her thin body completely flat against the cold metal of the overhead ventilation grate.

She watched with wide, terrified eyes as the sharp-faced assistant sent the deadly text message right below her.
She knew exactly who Colin was, because he was the same man who used to visit the dark laboratory where she had grown up.
As Colin walked away to catch up with the billionaire, the girl slowly pushed the heavy grate aside and dropped silently to the concrete floor.
She needed to find a way completely out of the airport before the dangerous men in the maintenance uniforms found her.
She scrambled over a massive pile of lost luggage, her yarn-tied shoes giving her excellent traction on the slippery vinyl suitcases.
Suddenly, the heavy metal doors at the end of the tunnel swung open, and three large men in dark blue coveralls stepped inside.
They held silenced pistols equipped with laser sights, and they were scanning the dark corners of the baggage area with ruthless efficiency.
The girl panicked and threw herself onto a moving conveyor belt, hoping the heavy rubber tracks would carry her to safety.
She lay perfectly still among the rolling bags, praying the mechanical shadows would hide her small frame.
The conveyor belt carried her through a thick curtain of plastic strips and into a massive, brightly lit sorting chamber.
One of the mercenaries spotted her purple backpack moving along the belt and immediately raised his weapon.
He fired a silent, deadly shot that completely shattered a hard-shell suitcase just inches away from the girl's head.
She screamed and rolled off the moving belt, crashing hard onto the dirty concrete floor and scraping her elbows violently.
The three armed men quickly surrounded her, blocking every single possible avenue of escape.
The largest man stepped forward and aimed his weapon directly at her chest, a cruel smile forming on his scarred face.
The girl squeezed her eyes tightly shut, bracing herself for the terrible pain she knew was coming next.
Suddenly, a heavy fire extinguisher flew out of the darkness and smashed brutally into the side of the gunman's head.

Richard Harrison leaped over the conveyor belt like a furious lion, tackling the second mercenary to the ground with devastating force.
The billionaire had heard the gunshot and doubled back, arriving just in time to brutally snap the wrist of the third attacker.
