Chapter 7 - The Breach
The abandoned warehouse district was eerily silent under the midnight sky.
Three black tactical vans rolled to a stop completely without headlights.
Margaret stepped out of the lead vehicle wearing a Kevlar vest over her designer blouse.
Ethan stood right beside her, holding a heavy iron crowbar.
"Stay behind the professionals, Ethan," Margaret commanded sharply.
Ten heavily armed security contractors stacked up against the rusty warehouse door.
Inside the building, Victor Thorne checked his gold watch and sighed loudly.
"Time is up, kid," Victor said, aiming his pistol at Noah's chest.
Noah closed his eyes tightly and prayed his mother would be okay without him.
Suddenly, a massive explosion ripped the steel doors entirely off their hinges.
Smoke and debris flooded the dark warehouse as Margaret's elite team stormed the room.
Red laser sights painted the chests of Victor's terrified thugs.
"Drop your weapons immediately!" the lead contractor roared over the chaos.
Victor's men threw their guns to the floor and dropped to their knees in pure panic.
But Victor was entirely too stubborn to surrender his prize.
He grabbed Noah by the hair and yanked him out of the metal chair.
Victor pressed the barrel of his gun directly against the teenager's temple.
"Back off, or I blow his brains out!" Victor screamed furiously.
Margaret walked slowly through the smoke, completely unafraid of the desperate criminal.
"You are out of your league, Victor," Margaret said calmly.
Victor laughed nervously and tightened his grip on Noah.
"I want a helicopter on the roof in five minutes," Victor demanded.
Margaret pulled a small tablet from her pocket and tapped the screen twice.
"I just froze every offshore bank account you possess," Margaret informed him coldly.
Victor looked at her in absolute shock.
Realizing his empire was destroyed, Victor decided to take Noah down with him.

He moved his finger toward the trigger with a look of pure madness.
"No!" Ethan screamed, charging blindly toward the gun.
