Chapter 6 - Bloodlines
The small, highly suffocating cockpit completely fell into absolute, deafening silence.
I slowly turned my head to look entirely at Vance, who was standing quietly in the doorway with Silas's baby heavily resting peacefully on his broad shoulder.
The massive, heavily scarred enforcer stared completely back at me, his dark eyes entirely wide with undeniable, profound shock.
"My last name is definitely and absolutely not Vance," I stammered nervously, completely taking a heavy step backward.
"My real father's name was Arthur Hayes."
Vance's tough face completely and instantly drained of all color as he clearly heard the name.
He carefully handed the heavily sleeping infant completely back to Silas and walked incredibly slowly directly toward me.
"Arthur Hayes was my highly beloved older brother," Vance whispered, his deep voice completely cracking with heavy emotion.
"He legally changed his last name exactly fifteen years ago to completely and permanently hide from the criminal underworld."
My young mind spun wildly as I frantically tried to completely connect the impossible, chaotic pieces of my violently shattered life.
"You are actually my uncle?" I asked, hot tears rapidly filling my completely exhausted eyes.
Vance dropped heavily to his knees, completely ignoring the broken glass on the floor, and forcefully pulled me into a fierce, intensely protective embrace.
"I haven't completely seen your father since you were a tiny, fragile baby, Riley," he choked out, entirely dropping his highly dangerous exterior.
"I aggressively joined Silas's security team specifically to heavily earn enough money to completely protect our family from a safe distance."
Silas actively watched the highly emotional reunion with a deeply grim, entirely hardened expression on his face.
"The syndicate clearly and undeniably discovered your completely secret familial connection, Vance," Silas stated coldly.
"They heavily murdered your brother to successfully steal the drive back, and they aggressively put your innocent niece on the kill list to entirely punish you for protecting me."
Vance stood up slowly, his deep sorrow instantly and completely transforming into a terrifying, incredibly burning rage.
"They are absolutely going to deeply regret entirely leaving her alive," Vance promised heavily, aggressively racking the slide of his pistol.
Suddenly, a massive, absolutely deafening roar completely and violently shook the entire aircraft entirely from the outside.
Silas rushed aggressively completely back to the pilot's seat and looked intensely out the highly reinforced window.
Two heavily armed, highly advanced military fighter jets had emerged completely seamlessly entirely from the thick clouds.
They were flying incredibly and dangerously close to our wings, their highly lethal missile pods entirely visible in the moonlight.
The commercial plane's radio suddenly crackled violently and aggressively entirely to life.
"Flight 815, you are currently completely entering highly restricted syndicate airspace," a cold, heavily accented voice announced directly through the speakers.
"You will immediately adjust your heading completely to land entirely at the abandoned airstrip directly below, or you will be aggressively shot entirely out of the sky."
Silas forcefully grabbed the radio microphone, his large knuckles turning entirely and completely white.
"And what exactly happens completely after we safely land?" Silas demanded aggressively.
"We safely retrieve the highly sensitive silver drive, and then we absolutely burn the plane entirely with everyone completely trapped inside," the voice replied calmly.
Silas slammed the heavy microphone completely down and aggressively grabbed the primary flight controls.
"Brace yourselves completely right now!" Silas roared heavily directly over his broad shoulder.
"I am absolutely not going to let them completely choose exactly where we die."

He pushed the heavy control yoke completely and aggressively forward, deliberately sending the massive plane entirely into a steep, highly terrifying dive directly toward the snow-covered mountains entirely below.
One of the military fighter jets immediately fired a highly explosive warning shot, brutally tearing a massive, deadly hole directly and completely through our left wing.
