Chapter 1 - The Arrival

St. Jude Academy was not merely an educational institution.
It was a gilded fortress.
Nestled securely in the wealthiest zip code on the East Coast, the academy was entirely shielded from the mundane realities of the outside world.
Its towering wrought-iron gates only opened for a very specific bloodline.
Here, the ivy-draped brick walls housed the heirs to global empires, tech conglomerates, and century-old political dynasties.
At St. Jude, wealth was the oxygen everyone breathed.
Money didn't just talk.
It dictated every interaction, every glance, and every hierarchy.
Every morning, the grand circular driveway of the academy transformed into a luxury car exhibition.
Matte-black Maybachs, custom-armored Escalades, and sleek European sports cars glided smoothly over the cobblestones.
Chauffeurs in tailored suits stood at attention, opening doors for teenagers who wore designer watches that cost more than a standard suburban home.
In this ruthless ecosystem, your worth was calculated the moment you stepped out of the car.
And no one understood this merciless math better than Chloe Kensington.
Chloe was the undisputed queen of this gilded cage.
She stepped out of her pristine white Bentley, her stilettos clicking against the pavement with absolute authority.
Students parted like the Red Sea as she walked up the grand marble steps.
She wore a custom blazer and a cold, practiced smile that could freeze water.
Her family owned Kensington Global, a real estate empire that essentially built the city.
Or, at least, that was the illusion she had to maintain.
Behind the designer sunglasses, Chloe was counting down the days until her family's crushing bankruptcy became public.
She just needed to survive her senior year and secure an alliance with Preston Vanguard.
Suddenly, the rhythmic hum of luxury engines was shattered by a deafening roar.
A battered, rust-covered vintage motorcycle tore through the wrought-iron gates, ignoring the security guards.
The bike skidded to a halt right in the center of the pristine circular driveway, leaving a thick black tire mark on the cobblestones.
The entire courtyard fell into a stunned, absolute silence.
A boy stepped off the bike, pulling off his scratched helmet.
He wore a faded leather jacket, combat boots, and a smirk that suggested he knew exactly how much he was offending everyone.
Preston Vanguard, Chloe's intended fiancé, scoffed and stepped forward.
"I think you took a wrong turn, trash," Preston sneered.
The new boy didn't even look at Preston.
Instead, his piercing green eyes locked directly onto Chloe.
He walked straight up to her, bypassing the furious heirs and shocked security guards.
He leaned in close to her ear, smelling of motor oil and cheap coffee.

"Nice Bentley, Chloe," the boy whispered.
"Too bad the bank is repossessing it tomorrow at noon."
